Account recovery started

As the opening of the server draws more near every minute people are starting to get hyper and panicky whenever something doesn't really go the way they wanted it to. To be honest I find it utmost amusing, yet also frustrating. You wouldn't believe how many times I felt like smacking myself in the head due to stupidities of other people. More about that later~

There seem to have been some problems with the account recovery system hence they had to delay them for a little while.

We are running into some last mininute delay for Account Recovery opening. We will be opening the Account Recovery at 9:30PM PDT.

Not a big deal of course since it's always better to delay things than to open them too early and have a whole legion of players complain their heads off. Not soon after the account recovery opened. Do note the 'we recommend reading all the instructions very carefully when proceeding with the recovery process.'! And they even added a fun note for new players by releasing the Open Beta Client early.

We are happy to announce that the Pangya account recovery form is now live for players who had Albatross18 accounts previously.

Simply click on the 'RECOVER ACCOUNT' button located in the middle of our official Pangya website to begin the process. As a friendly reminder, we recommend reading all the instructions very carefully when proceeding with the recovery process.

Please note, this process will only request the transfer of your account data. The actual migration process will begin on our first scheduled maintenance. You can review the release schedule including the Open Beta time here. There is no need to go through the recovery process if you never had an Albatross18 account.

To avoid download congestion, we've released the Pangya Open Beta client in advance. If you want to get a head start, please feel free to download the game now so you can install it early. You'll be able to log in once our servers are open for Pangya Open Beta. Simply click the download button to start downloading the Pangya Open Beta client.

We all appreciate your enthusiasm and support. The grass is cut and watered. Greens are opening up very soon!

I already have my Open Beta Client roaring and ready to go. What you actually downloaded from the site itself was not a client but a download manager. You then simply had to let the download manager download the client installation file for you, which took about 5 minutes for me. But apparently for some people this already poses a great challenge.

Can you believe you actually had to press a start button for it to work? x_x Who would have ever thought of that. Like I said before I'm really having a field trip with all this chaos~!

So in general most people with an average IQ managed to get their Open Beta Client up and running. However it took a lot of time to make clear to about 90% of the players that the server was not open yet and that you could not patch or play yet. All by all it was not too bad, I expected more idiocy than this but of course more came. In the form of account recovery problems people started to spill the beans and confess that they actually lied about their birthdate on their OPG account. Big surprise there. Some of them didn't even remember if they lied or not o_o; they must be gifted.

I think there is a saying for this in my language: 'No matter how fast the lie runs, the truth will catch up to it eventually.' Of course since the deceiving people in life have the most chances of making it out there, there was a solution to this person's problems. They could log into their old OPG account and answer their secret question to gain access to their information, which included the birthdate they had filled in. But of course...

Mind you, by this time I was literally laughing like crazy. I really never knew human stupidity could reach this far. I wonder if this person will ever get his account transfered. In my opinion, they don't deserve it if they can't even remember their DOB or secret question.

I hope the poor employees of Ntreev find a way to get it through to these people how to do everything correct. I fear the worst, many extra working hours will be made and many cups of coffee will be wasted.
