Feathers and empty pockets T_T;

As you all probably know the Ntreev server of Pangya also has a Papel Lottery with rares. The rares the server opened with are the Rainbow and Devils Feathers. They are avaible for every character including Kaz. There aren't any differences between the Rainbow and Devils feather except for their appearance.



The item on the left is the Rainbow Feather and of course the right one is the Devils feather. They are both worn behind the character's ear and increase the width of your pangya zone when equipped, depending on the wind speed. The feather items react when the wind is 7 to 9m. They can be compared to the Elfen Ears rare which reacts in the same way when there is a wind between 4 and 9m.

I am just dying to try and get a pretty feather for my Kooh. I don't really mind which version of the feather it is. If you are perhaps interested in selling me one, don't hesitate to whisper or PM 'Dawn' in-game or perhaps leave me a comment here.

Before I end it here I would also like to thank a very helpful player here in this post. The player named (heart)Star(heart) had been playing in a few of the same tournaments I had been in. After seeing I usually ended last and me confessing I was a total newbie they suggested that I play a VS game against them so they could teach me some tips and tricks. They ran me through a whole VS 18-holes Ice Cannon course and gave me elaborate explanations for each hole. Continually showing me where the sweet spots were and what prerequisites you needed to meet to be able to do that one perfect shot to rack in the pang. I would really love to thank this player very much because I've never had such effective and friendly help ever. If you ever see this player shower them with compliments on my behalf~! So "Thank you so very much for being patient with a newbie like me, (heart)Star(heart)".

Maintenance two days in a row.

The Ntreev team has been very busy this last week. The result is two maintenances in two days. Of course it is less playing time for the users but on the other hand it's more working on bugs and glitches. I really can't say much about the remaining problems since my account is in prime condition at the moment. The biggest bugs at the moment would be the FBI.exe error, random disconnects and some accounts that still haven't been transferred. Here is the announcement that was made regarding the 23th April maintenance:

We will be performing server maintenance on Thursday evening 04/23/09.

The maintenance hours as scheduled:

The maintenance pretty much went as planned and after 3 hours the game was avaible for playing again. However the main site seemed to have a bug that didn't allow the 'maintenance button' to go from 'Notice' to 'Ended' so the team posted up a news bulletin to let us know it ended.

Sharing is Caring o_o;

You all know how very amusing laptops or computers in general can be when they're having a bad day. My creature (read: laptop) was having a blast last night and kind of blew herself up. Hence I lost absolutely everything on my laptop. I'm not very happy about this...*glares at her laptop* Luckily it did want to cooperate with me when I tried to fix it and behold after a few hours of work in the early morning she is up and running again. I can't say smoothly but she'll hold up for a while longer. I addres my laptop as a 'she' because I'm quite certain if it was alive that it would be a girl. This laptop is just too headstrong and stubborn to be male. -_-;

Either way thanks to this fixing I was able to bring you the following news today~! Ntreev found a nice way to get some free advertising which might just help out bloggers like myself.

It’s time for show and tell!

You may have noticed that Ntreev USA has added a new function to the Official Website; the “Share” button. With this new feature, players will be able to share Official Ntreev USA Event News and Forum posts with their friends from a variety of different social networking sites and other network functions.

Some Event Pages and Forum Posts should be shared! so… we’re not swapping PB&J’s for an ice cream sammich’ out on the playground, but if you click on the “Share” button located on any Event Page or Forum Post you will be given the option to share that topic through: Email, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, Live… etc. All you have to do is click on the button and the list of available options will pop up. Choose your weapon (site) and follow the prompts.

A 'share' button, you shall learn to fear it. That cute button will certainly save me some time in the future so a big thank you to Ntreev. A very poorly hidden attempt at getting free advertising as well but who would be able to hide their enthusiasm for Pangya either way. So go and spread the word~!

On another note there was another short maintenance to fix some system related issues. With short I mean about an hour so it was probably a quick fix and reset matter. Here's the announcement that was posted:

As you can see it clearly states that there would be no account transferring involved which means that all Albatross 18 accounts were not yet transferred. For those who are still waiting please stay patient, I'm sure your account will arrive shortly. The later batches of the account migration will highlikely be free of any bugs so you should be delighted they kept you until last~ X3 Just keep checking for a bigger server maintenance in the near future to check when your account might be transferred.

My first tournament with a GM!

Hi again everyone,

Today was a wonderful day where I live. If by wonderful you mean sunny and stuffy and a paradise for blonde barbie dolls to parade around barely clothed. Either way for some weird reason I did not feel like staying inside and spent most of my time outdoors getting a sunburn and a serious headache (sunstroke anyone?). All of this of course resulted in hardly any gaming time which was actually quite enjoyable. However when I did manage to get to my laptop again in the evening I found something interesting to do.

GM Grimm was online doing some tournaments so I joined in for an Ice Cannon tournament. I was planning to play the Ice Cannon course either way since I really needed the money to get my Kooh character. So apparently people are still confused about whether Grimm is a boy or a girl. And to be honest I can't tell from the way (s)he talks. I am personally guessing he's male but until I know for sure he'll be a (s)he! No matter which gender (s)he's an enjoyable player and I like the fact (s)he just enjoys to play with other players (atleast I hope so). Refering to him/her as (s)he is quite annoying but at least it's less demeaning than calling Grimm an 'it' x_x; From the conversations I picked up the following:

(s)he is named after the tales of the brothers Grimm.

(s)he had a highscore of 2 (?) on the Ice Cannon course before this tournament.

(s)he was aiming to get the Kaz character.

(s)he just wants to look pretty. (lols X3)

Here is an in-game picture of the tournament result. By some kind of miracle I did not end last~! The blue marker indicates (as you can see) our GM Grimm and the pink marker is me.





As you can see I did not receive an award this time x__x; Usually I receive the lucky award, best recovery award or best putter award. Those are pretty much the only three I usually manage to get. I do love the pang I earned though, I finally managed to make enough to purchase my Kooh character. It feels like it took forever x_x but I will finally be able to get little Kooh tomorrow! (If for some reason my Pang won't magically dissapear).

On a side note, if anyone knows the true identity of the one known as Grimm please step forward! X3 I would love to address her/him with the right gender~! So far no new update news so stay tuned!

Kaz Introduction

I noticed I never seem to use much images in my posts and that's quite a shame, don't you think so? Hence I decided to try and make some of my own renders to brighten up posts when needed. Because my beloved decided to save up for the Kaz character I made a render of Kaz in his River suit. I have no idea why they named it 'River', it was originally named the Warlord set. This is a set that can be purchased with real money. It is currently not yet avaible in the US server. This render came from a screenshot I made in the European server. I had to edit it to remove the text and frames that were covering him up. This image can only be used on this website so please be so kind to not steal it. It may not be taken, edited or altered to use in any form on another website.

For those who do not yet know the character Kaz I will try to provide a short summary. In one of the darkest corners of Pangya Island resides a cursed clan known only as 'Ru'. As masters of the sword and black magic, the Ru have always kept an alliance to the dark arts. Strongest of all the Ru is a boy who casts the darkest shadow. Step by step, everything he touches becomes enshrouded in his dark soul. This boy is called Kaz. And according to the island lore, Kaz is the successor to the Demon King. Heroes (The people who saved Pangya Island before) would remember the boy who the Demon King presented as the one who would reign next. A successor promising to bring a new dynasty of evil to Pangya Island. However, Kaz' eyes are full of a sadness and not of the dark evil seemingly destined for him. The reason for this happened a year ago, on the eve of Kaz's inheritance to the throne of evil. It was then that his beloved Karen sacrificed her life for him. This to keep Kaz from being consumed by the Demon King's evil soul. She gave her life to save him. This traumatic event is repressed deep inside Kaz, which caused him to lose most of his memory, leaving only a grief he can not explain. Now Karen's spirit embraces and follows Kaz wherever he goes, keeping a constant watch over her past love. She helps to provide the strength he needs to keep going forward. The tournament on Pangya Island is the very place where Kaz can find the clues he needs. The clues to recover his lost memory.

Quite a touching story~ I feel bad for Kaz on the one hand but I am sure he will become a great leader some day. In the online Pangya servers Kaz is a playable 18-year old male character. You can purchase him from the shop for 32k Pang. Get playing to help him get his memory back so we can all know what happened in more detail!

24.04.09 Maintenance Notes

Another update on the US server, another maintenance to help the users who were still experiencing trouble with the client. This is the official announcement that was made prior to the maintenance.

Not a very long maintenance, only 4 hours long, but nevertheless they took on a lot of problems in those 4 hours. Apparently there are hardly any users left with problems to access the client. For those wondering just exactly what they have been working on during the maintenance:

Client not responding bug after clicking 'Start' button has been addressed.

Client 'Projectg.exe' application error issue has been addressed.

Servers not populating after login has been addressed.

Server names/images have been changed to the winning selections from the recent poll.

Very nice list with the most common bugs that were still haunting the community. So far I can't give anything but praise towards the bug fixing of Ntreev. I certainly hope they will keep up the awesome work.

Time for a little ranting about myself~

Today I found some time to test out the differences between PangyaUS and PangyaEU and it was hard to find some and when I did find some they were very small. Seeing it is only Open Beta in the US server it is hard to really compare at the moment but I felt like investigating.

For starters the basic clothing you start out with surely has some differences seeing there is some clothing restricted to the EU server only and vice versa. I'll try to give you images of these clothing pieces as soon as the US server leaves Open Beta.

I noticed that the US server really likes the whole trading system. I've seen public chats regarding buying and selling in the lobby which was quite rare in the EU server. In the US server people even gathered together in the same chatroom to start up a 'Shopping Mall' for users. I must admit it's terribly laggy and it takes some time to load for me but it surely is fun to browse through usershops.

At the moment the economy seems rather weird, not really stabilized which is a beautiful thing for new players. I myself was able to purchase a 150k clothing set for 16k only. I'm sure this isn't that rare at the moment but it surely helped me out a lot. The items I bought were the BW Pleated Mini and K-Line BW for Kooh. Quite ironic, seeing I don't even have a Kooh character yet. It's the first thing I am getting now though! Too bad players aren't able to sell characters at reduced prices. It would surely help out a lot.

I decided to play under the name of 'Dawn' instead of 'Roselynn' on the US server. The reason I chose Dawn is because since I was small I always used the name Akatsuki as my roleplaying name. For those who don't see the link: Akatsuki means Dawn in Japanese. Obviously I stopped using that name after everyone and their mom started abusing the Japanese language. Either way if you feel like playing a game feel free to contact me in-game. I must warn you I am a total newbie so don't be surprised if I end a course with +2 or higher. If you still have any problems getting in-game don't hesitate to post it on the Ntreev forum so the Ntreev team and players can try to help you out~!
